A Guided Mountain Bike Ride To Connect With Nature And To Yourself
What Is Mindless Mountain Biking?
‘Mindless Mountain Biking’ offers personalized guided rides in the beautiful mountains around Los Angeles. The focus is on having fun on the trails, connecting with nature, and practicing mindfulness. The rides are for all levels, from quick ‘one off’ 90-minute adventures, to weekly programs where you can learn the basics of mountain biking. What makes the experience unique is the special emphasis on improving your health and wellness by connecting with nature and focusing on the present moment.
You can expect to come away from one of my tours feeling invigorated and connected to nature, with a clearer head and a sense of calm you might not expect. I design my rides to be challenging but safe, so you'll get a great workout without the stress. Most importantly, it’s about lifting your spirits & having fun!
“When spirits are low, and the day appears dark, when work becomes monotonous and hope hardly seems worth having, just mount a bicycle and go out for a spin down the road without thought on anything, but the ride you are taking.”
Arthur Conan Doyle.
“When cycling, you're forced to remain present - focused on the trail ahead, aware of your surroundings, and attuned to the sensations within your body. With your mind tethered to the here and now, you astride a bicycle is not unlike meditation - you are both singularly focused on your task, leaving no mental room for the distractions that often plague our daily lives. The rhythm of your movements, from the steady rotation of pedals to the cyclical flow of your breath, forms a lullaby that can quiet your mind and provide a foundation for introspective thoughts.”
Stephen Lucas
“Cycling places you amidst the great theatre of nature. It's the wind on your face, the sun warming your back, the aroma of blooming flowers and damp earth, the orchestra of birdsong, the taste of raindrops on your tongue. With each bike ride, you are immersed in a world that reconnects you with your roots, reminding you of your place in the great interconnected web of life. By letting the sights, sounds, and scents of the great outdoors envelope you, you are drawn towards a profound respect for the world around us. This deeper connection with nature is an essential part of spirituality - the realization that we are all part of a larger whole, and our actions ripple through to touch all aspects of our ecosystem.”

My vision
My aim is to help teach the basics of mountain biking whilst guiding people to calm their busy minds and connect with the beautiful nature surrounding Los Angeles. My guided mountain bike rides are a safe and fun way to improve physical and mental health.
In the world of wellness, we often hear about the benefits of ‘mindfulness’ – being present in the moment and aware of your thoughts and feelings. While that's valuable, it can also feel limiting or even boring to some people. That's where ‘Mindless Mountain Biking’ comes in. It's less about actively thinking about your experience and more about letting go and surrendering to the flow of the trail in beautiful natural surrounding. It's about losing yourself in the experience, not thinking about how you're experiencing it.
